Avoiding the sun induced “lobster look” is not only personally convenient but also essential for healthy skin.  This goes beyond the cosmetic benefits of evenly toned skin and preventing of signs of aging. Sun burned skin can cause over all fatigue and puts you at risk of various skin cancers. So while enjoying our long awaited vitamin D this summer, lets be kind to our skin as well!

Sun skin protection

  • Sunscreen should be at least 30SPF.
  • Sunscreen should be applied about 15 to 30 minutes before going outside.
  • Reapply every two hours.
  • The sun is most damaging between 10am and 3pm, so stay in the shade or extra covered during those hours.
  • Stay hydrated! Your skin needs the H2O too.
