Science in the Park: Chemistry

Blandford Canyon Ivy Pull

6 – 8 p.m.The Blandford Canyon Ivy Pull Team and teens from ‪#‎VancouverVolunTEEN‬ are combining forces to help get rid of English ivy, holly, Himalayan blackberries and other invasive species that are choking out native plants and trees in Blandford Canyon. Learn more about English Ivy from the Noxious Weed Control Board.

Hoops on the River

Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver and surrounding the streets of Esther Short Park, Hoops on the River will host some exciting new events, new resources and more excitement to mark the 9th year of this event. With a FREE (with sign-up) Friday night kid’s clinic presented by Shoot360, Adidas will have a retail tent in the park, and with many divisions based on skill and age group, there is a little something for everyone!

Check out all three family-friendly concerts with activities for kids provided by the City of Vancouver Parks and Recreation Department. Bring a blanket, pack a picnic or grab a bite from one of the local food vendors!
